Okay, went out with my friend Heather last night, so much fun. But, of course we were both disappointed as to what we saw. It started out at Rosie's, then over to New Moon, then home. To say the least, its was a bit of a challenge getting to this god forsaken work environment.
All too funny though, I actually made it here before my secretary! I think that both pissed her off and made her happy. Happy that yes I can go out at night and make it to work on time. Pissed off because I can go out at night and still get to work before her! Hahaha, oh well, just a primer for the weekend.
So, I got most of my work done early this morning and have not had much to do today. Well, I spent some time texting & emailing Heather, we've both decided that the south Florida gay scene is definitely lacking intellectuals. So, I took it upon myself to start looking for single men online. Yup, I am now an official Internet date seeker. This is how I met a guy this summer, and we'll see what happens down here in Florida. Since this is the state of fake, it should work horribly!
Okay, so I set my profile and ran the search, got thirty-one guys within a fifty mile search and sent 6 "ice breakers." Which, if you think about it, you're really not breaking the ice. There is no verbal communication since the ice-breaker was generated by the system and did not require any sort of thought, what you know about this someone is a picture and fifty predetermined questions with checklists and drop-down boxes to complete the answers. So, I'm allowing someone in a darkroom with no social life pre-determine what I feel is important in a person that I want to have sex with. Great!
Now, let's delve a little bit deeper into this issue. We have determined that someone with no social life, probably straight (do you really think they would take the time to change the questions for each potential hook-up? do you really think that a cross dressing lesbian is interested in finding a "couch potato" or that a self described "tivo runs your life" date seeker would be something that crosses their mind when looking for the same?) is deciding the future of my dating in south Florida. Super, so there was no room for me tell them what I actually thought was interesting about people, especially the type of "people" I just want a one-night-stand with! Oh well, that should have been the damn ice-breaker. "I just want to hook-up, meet me at x-bar, I'll be the one wearing a condom." Since that would never go over with a straight couple, I doubt you'll see it on any personals engine soon.
Okay, time to digress. I totally lied to my "friend" last night. I actually didn't do it, my text did it. So, this guy Michael and hooked up a couple of weeks ago while in an interesting living situation. Kind of funny, but anyway. He's about five years my younger, just moved here from San Francisco, HIV+, a lot fun to be with, but his true colors illustrate a shallow self-absorbed queen. But, having said that, I have been completely obsessed with him and worn out my friend Heather with the bullshit that's been going on with this. Funny thing is, he works for the same damn company she works for. Haha, life is all too funny. So, the lying txt came about because I had planned earlier in the week to have him and his "best" friend over for dinner. This, an act that I thought was quite nice to do, turned into him not being about to get in touch with his "best" friend, then he told me last night he just wanted to dinner up by him. Now, he does not have a car at this time, but I don't feel that driving up to Palm Beach after a long week is going to further this relationship. In fact, I think I'm going to get up there, buy him dinner, walk and smooch on the beach, then he's going to go through some dumping routine. Well, there nothing here to dump. It was fun, lets keep our friendship and move on. He definitely has a lot of growing up to do and I am really not in the mood hold his hand through it all. Ugh, boys! Pain in my ass, literally and figuratively.
Well, I got that off my chest! I know no-one reads this damn thing, but it sure helps the day go by!.

I read it!
Well, I read it just to count how many times my name comes up. ;) Just kidding...
You know how I feel about the michael thing, so there's no point in re-stating myself here. I stand by what I've always said.
